1. 100m Freestyle Men's Semifinals

(1)

1.Alain BERNARD (FRA) WR 47.20
2.Stefan NYSTRAND (SWE)
3.Jason LEHZAK (USA)

LEHZAK, hero of 4x100m Freestyle Relay earlier, a.k.a the one who saved fish’s ass, he’s America’s new hero and apparently fish’s hero as well (“THANK you! Thank you very much!”) He swam at WR timing during the relay but WR holder, BERNARD, defended his title, saying “I’m back I’m not affected by the heats”

(2)

1. Eamon SULLIVAN (AUS) WR 47.05
2. VAN DEN HOOGENBAND (NED)
3. Matt TARGETT (AUS)

SULLIVAN broke the WR set just minutes ago! VAN DEN HOOGENBAND, medalist in both Sydney and Athens gave up swimming in the 200m Freestyle just to concentrate on this one.
